My name is Gwendolyn and I live in a Condominium Association. I am permanently disabled and decided to purchase a home at the beginning of covid. I found a condo and moved in March 2021 and the condo's were built in 2020 and had never been lived in. This was supposed to be my dream home that quickly turned into a nightmare. Our Heating and Cooling unit began having major problems within days of moving in. The developer would barely help . Ultimately he stopped responding. After 1 year of months at a time of being without cooling system and heat and reaching out to so many different people for help. I had almost given up until operation fuel and home comfort practice saved the day. They both came out and accessed the situation and Just Like That! they took on the project of removing our faulty Geothermal Systems and replacing them with HVAC systems in about 12 homes. Operation Fuel paid for it ,about $23,000 each unit and Home comfort practice did the work. They were diligent and quick and professional and did a thorough job on replacing the heating and cooling system with efficient ones. There are no mere words to express how much I appreciate Home comfort Practice. They came in and saved us from the harsh weather elements by placing top of the line HVAC systems in the homes of all the unit owners who were taken advantage of by a developer who put defective geothermal systems in our brand new homes. These systems had rust and bacteria in the water that flooded our floors and was going into our air ducts and we had a Legionnaire's scare as stated by a Licensed HVAC specialist and Aquarion Water company. Home Comfort practice came in and saved the day. We will be forever grateful because as new homeowners, none of us had the money it would have taken to have a major appliance replaced. For a number of reasons literally No one else was able to help us. This was a MIRACLE! Our homes were able to be warm and comfortable for the summer and I'm not dreading the summer because my Brand New Mitsubishi HVAC will do the job thanks to the excellent installation done by Home Comfort Practice, and on top of that we got free weatherizations. Home Comfort Practice performed an energy efficiency audit at our home covering our lighting, heating, windows and doors, insulation and appliances. The crew were very courteous and knowledgeable and performed their services very efficiently. My first experience with Comfort Home Practice was speaking with Wanda . She came out to our home on a Saturday morning and worked around my work schedule so I didn’t have to take any time off! She was so easy to talk to, kind and very informative. I set up an inspection date with her and within a few weeks two gentlemen came to the house to perform a full inspection of our basement, windows, insulation, thermostats, boiler, attic, etc. They were very professional, insulated our windows, doors and are coming back in August to replace some older windows.
