A Connecticut family company built on building science
Home Comfort Practice is a family-owned home improvement contractor based in Stratford, with a team of more than 80 full-time professionals. Since 2009 we have upgraded over 20,000 Connecticut homes and insulated more than 5,000 properties, making them more comfortable and more efficient.
We cover the whole path a home takes — from an energy audit that finds where comfort and savings are leaking out, through insulation, air sealing, HVAC, and windows, to the Energize CT rebate paperwork that pays for much of the work. Our team plans it, does it, and sees it through.

How Home Comfort Practice got started
OUR STORY
From a handyman division to a building-science contractor
We started as an energy efficiency division in 2009. In 2016 we became an independent, licensed, and insured home improvement contractor, adding construction-management depth to a foundation already rooted in building science — which is why we treat a house as a connected system rather than a list of separate jobs.
