Access the energy rebates you are already paying for
Energize Connecticut helps Connecticut families save on energy-efficient upgrades through rebates, audits, and financing — and it is funded by small charges already on your utility bill. Home Comfort Practice is an Energize CT Authorized Contractor, here to get you the benefits you are already paying for.
How Energize CT helps Connecticut families
Three ways it helps your home. Energize CT is a statewide initiative that provides rebates on energy-efficiency upgrades like insulation, heat pumps, and windows — plus the Home Energy Solutions audit, where a utility-certified technician finds exactly where your home is losing energy, and low-interest financing for bigger projects.
All residential utility customers are eligible. Eversource, United Illuminating, Connecticut Natural Gas, and Southern Connecticut Gas customers all qualify, though the exact rebates and amounts depend on your home and the work you do. Insulation rebates alone can cover 75 to 100 percent of the cost.
We handle everything. As an Energize CT Authorized Contractor, our specialists assess your home, confirm which incentives apply, and enroll you in every rebate you qualify for — without you chasing paperwork.

Energize CT programs are funded by a charge on customer energy bills — a small line item you already pay every month. Here is how those funds come back to you.
- Transmission Charge $12.27
- Combined Public Benefits Charge* $6.44
*The Combined Public Benefits Charge combines three charges formerly known as the Conservation and Load Management Charge, Renewable Energy Investment Charge, and Systems Benefits Charge. It also includes the Conservation Adjustment Mechanism approved by PURA in Docket No. 13-11-14.

What Connecticut families gain through Energize CT
A Home Energy Solutions audit costs $40, or is free of charge for income-eligible households. A utility-certified technician spends two to four hours assessing your home and installing immediate weatherization improvements.
Energize CT rebates cover between 75 and 100 percent of home insulation costs, with savings of about $2.00 per square foot on spray foam or blown-in cellulose insulation.
On average, families receive about $1,000 in services and realize $70–$100 in savings on their annual energy bills — and that doesn't include the subsequent rebates and upgrades.
