Why it pays off
The advantages of your Natural Gas Furnace
Natural gas furnaces are a popular option for families in Connecticut looking to upgrade their heating systems. These furnaces offer several benefits over other types of heating systems, especially when paired with Energize CT's incentives and rebates. Here are some of the benefits of acquiring natural gas furnaces for Connecticut families:
Energy Efficiency
Natural gas furnaces are much more energy-efficient than other types of heating systems, such as electric or oil furnaces. They can help families reduce their energy bills by up to 30% or more.
Cost Savings
Natural gas is often cheaper than other types of heating fuels, such as oil or propane. This can result in significant cost savings over time for families who use natural gas furnaces.
Reliable Heating
Natural gas furnaces provide reliable heating even in extreme cold temperatures. They can also heat homes more quickly than other types of heating systems.
Increased Home Value
Homes with natural gas heating systems, such as natural gas furnaces, can have a higher resale value compared to homes with other types of heating systems.
Improved Indoor Air Quality
Natural gas furnaces produce fewer emissions compared to other types of heating systems, such as oil furnaces. This can result in improved indoor air quality and better respiratory health for families.

Additionally, Energize CT offers incentives and rebates for families who upgrade to energy-efficient natural gas furnaces. These incentives can help offset the initial cost of the furnace and provide even greater savings over time.
Federal incentives that can stack on top
The home-improvement credit for heat pumps, insulation, windows and more. Projects completed by the deadline can still claim it on a federal return.
The 30% clean-energy credit for solar, battery storage and geothermal systems. Installs completed and paid for by the deadline can still claim it.
Income-qualified electrification rebates that become available when Connecticut launches (DEEP expects 2026) — we will flag it the moment it opens.
