Natural Gas Furnace Incentive Details

Energize CT Natural Gas Furnace Rebate

The Energize CT Natural Gas Furnace rebate is an incentive program offered to residential customers in Connecticut who are looking to replace their existing heating system with a new high-efficiency condensing natural gas furnace. Customers who meet the eligibility criteria can receive a rebate of $650 for qualifying natural gas furnaces.

In order to qualify for natural gas furnace incentives, you must first complete a verification inspection on the existing heating system. Only customers replacing an inefficient non-condensing furnace with a new high efficient condensing furnace are eligible to receive rebates. The rebate is available to residential customers of Eversource, UI, CNG, or SCG. The new furnace must be installed in the service territory of the participating utility, and it must be installed by a licensed contractor within that utility’s service territory.

The qualifying furnace must have an AHRI rating and an AFUE (Annual Fuel Utilization Efficiency) or Thermal Efficiency of 95% or higher to be eligible for the rebate.

The Advantages

gas furnace

Natural gas furnaces are a popular option for homeowners in Connecticut looking to upgrade their heating systems. These furnaces offer several benefits over other types of heating systems, especially when paired with Energize CT’s incentives and rebates. Here are some of the benefits of acquiring natural gas furnaces for Connecticut homeowners:

  1. Energy Efficiency: Natural gas furnaces are much more energy-efficient than other types of heating systems, such as electric or oil furnaces. They can help homeowners reduce their energy bills by up to 30% or more.
  2. Cost Savings: Natural gas is often cheaper than other types of heating fuels, such as oil or propane. This can result in significant cost savings over time for homeowners who use natural gas furnaces.
  3. Reliable Heating: Natural gas furnaces provide reliable heating even in extreme cold temperatures. They can also heat homes more quickly than other types of heating systems.
  4. Increased Home Value: Homes with natural gas heating systems, such as natural gas furnaces, can have a higher resale value compared to homes with other types of heating systems.
  5. Improved Indoor Air Quality: Natural gas furnaces produce fewer emissions compared to other types of heating systems, such as oil furnaces. This can result in improved indoor air quality and better respiratory health for homeowners.

Additionally, Energize CT offers incentives and rebates for homeowners who upgrade to energy-efficient natural gas furnaces. These incentives can help offset the initial cost of the furnace and provide even greater savings over time.
