The Energize CT Natural Gas Furnace rebate is an incentive program offered to residential customers in Connecticut who are looking to replace their existing heating system with a new high-efficiency condensing natural gas furnace. Customers who meet the eligibility criteria can receive a rebate of $650 for qualifying natural gas furnaces.
In order to qualify for natural gas furnace incentives, you must first complete a verification inspection on the existing heating system. Only customers replacing an inefficient non-condensing furnace with a new high efficient condensing furnace are eligible to receive rebates. The rebate is available to residential customers of Eversource, UI, CNG, or SCG. The new furnace must be installed in the service territory of the participating utility, and it must be installed by a licensed contractor within that utility’s service territory.
The qualifying furnace must have an AHRI rating and an AFUE (Annual Fuel Utilization Efficiency) or Thermal Efficiency of 95% or higher to be eligible for the rebate.
Natural gas furnaces are a popular option for homeowners in Connecticut looking to upgrade their heating systems. These furnaces offer several benefits over other types of heating systems, especially when paired with Energize CT’s incentives and rebates. Here are some of the benefits of acquiring natural gas furnaces for Connecticut homeowners:
Additionally, Energize CT offers incentives and rebates for homeowners who upgrade to energy-efficient natural gas furnaces. These incentives can help offset the initial cost of the furnace and provide even greater savings over time.
The average initial cost of purchasing and installing a new natural gas furnace ranges from $1,800 to $2,300.
The average lifetime savings from upgrading to a high-efficiency natural gas furnace range from $1,275 to $1,550. These savings represent the cumulative energy cost savings that customers can expect to enjoy over the lifespan of the furnace, which is typically around 20 years. By upgrading to a more efficient furnace, customers can reduce their energy consumption and lower their utility bills over time.
