Natural Gas Boiler Incentive Details
Energize CT Natural Gas Boiler Rebate
The Energize CT Natural Gas Boiler rebate is an incentive program that offers a $750 rebate to residential customers who qualify and purchase qualifying natural gas boilers. The rebate program is available for a specific duration, running from January 1, 2023, to December 31, 2023.
Residential customers of Eversource, UI, CNG, and SCG are eligible to participate.  Existing equipment verification is required. In order to qualify for natural gas boiler incentives, you must first complete a verification inspection on the existing heating system. Only customers replacing an inefficient non-condensing boiler with a new high efficient condensing boiler are eligible to receive rebates.
The eligible boilers must be ENERGY STAR certified, with an AFUE (Annual Fuel Utilization Efficiency) rating of 95% or greater. They must also be AHRI (Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute) rated with Temperature Reset or Purge Control.
The Advantages
Natural gas boilers are a popular option for homeowners in Connecticut looking to upgrade their heating systems. These boilers offer several benefits over other types of heating systems, especially when paired with Energize CT’s incentives and rebates. Here are some of the benefits of acquiring natural gas boilers for Connecticut homeowners:
- Energy Efficiency: Natural gas boilers are much more energy-efficient than other types of heating systems, such as electric or oil boilers. They can help homeowners reduce their energy bills by up to 30% or more.
- Cost Savings: Natural gas is often cheaper than other types of heating fuels, such as oil or propane. This can result in significant cost savings over time for homeowners who use natural gas boilers.
- Reliable Heating: Natural gas boilers provide reliable heating even in extreme cold temperatures. They can also heat homes more quickly than other types of heating systems.
- Increased Home Value: Homes with natural gas heating systems, such as natural gas boilers, can have a higher resale value compared to homes with other types of heating systems.
- Improved Indoor Air Quality: Natural gas boilers produce fewer emissions compared to other types of heating systems, such as oil boilers. This can result in improved indoor air quality and better respiratory health for homeowners.
By investing in a natural gas boiler, homeowners can improve their home’s energy efficiency, save money on their energy bills, and enjoy reliable heating even in extreme cold temperatures.
