Terms of Use

Last updated: November 5, 2026

These terms cover your use of homecomfortpractice.com (the "site"). When we say "HCP", "we" or "us", we mean Home Comfort Practice, Inc., 165 Benton Street, Stratford, Connecticut 06615. By using the site, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

1. The site is information, not a contract for work

  1. Prices, cost ranges, savings figures and timelines on the site are general information. They are not quotes or offers.
  2. Submitting a form, requesting an estimate or booking a home energy audit does not create a contract for work. It asks us to contact you.
  3. Any work we do for you is governed by a separate written contract that you sign, as Connecticut's Home Improvement Act requires. If that contract and these terms disagree, the contract controls.
  4. Appointment times you request online are requests until we confirm them.

2. Rebates, incentives and financing

  1. We describe rebates, incentives, tax credits and financing offered by others, including Energize Connecticut programs and federal and state programs. Those programs set their own rules, amounts and deadlines, and they can change or end without notice.
  2. We help you find out what you may qualify for and help with paperwork. We do not decide eligibility, and we do not guarantee that you will receive any rebate, incentive, credit or loan, or any particular amount.
  3. Energy savings vary by home, equipment, weather and how the home is used. Any savings figure on the site is an estimate, not a promise.

3. Using the site

  1. Please use the site lawfully. Do not try to break into it, overload it, scrape it in bulk, or send us false information in someone else's name.
  2. Information you send us through the site must be accurate and must be yours to send. If you request service for a property, you confirm you are the owner or are authorized by the owner.
  3. We may change, suspend or remove any part of the site at any time.

4. Text messages and calls

If you choose to receive text messages from us, the Text Messaging Terms below apply. Calls to and from HCP may be recorded; you will be told at the start of the call. Phone numbers on the site may be call-tracking numbers that forward to our office.

5. Reviews and things you send us

  1. Reviews shown on the site come from customers on third-party platforms such as Google. We may show excerpts with the reviewer's first name or initials as published there.
  2. If you send us a testimonial, photo or comment and agree that we may use it, you allow us to show it on our site and marketing. You can ask us to remove it at any time.

6. Our content

The site's text, photos, graphics and logos belong to HCP or our licensors. You may view and share pages for personal use. Please do not copy them for commercial use without our written permission. Program names and logos such as Energize Connecticut belong to their owners.

7. Links to other sites

We link to program sites, partners and other resources. We are not responsible for their content or practices.

8. Disclaimers

The site is provided "as is". We work to keep it accurate and current, but we do not promise it is error-free, complete or always available. Nothing on the site is professional engineering, legal, tax or financial advice for your situation.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, HCP is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the site, or from relying on information on it. This section covers the website only. Your rights under a signed contract with us, any warranty on our work, and rights Connecticut law gives consumers are not limited by these terms.

10. Connecticut law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut. Any dispute about them will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Connecticut, unless your signed contract with us says otherwise.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. Using the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
