Participants typically receive approximately $1,350 of weatherization and efficiency services and realize $450 of annual energy savings with the first HES energy audit appointment. That's approximately $1,800 of value and savings on day one.

My name is Joanaida Acevedo. Two years ago my family and I moved to CT and on May 2022 we were presented an opportunity to buy our own home. A friend told us about this program. At first we were incredulous with the program, no one, no agency has ever given us anything, much less for free. To our surprise, the programs helped us a lot since our house was old and lacked many updates to save electricity. At first our electricity bill was very high and after a few months of finishing all the updates in our house, we began to see the results in our electricity bill. That obviously really fascinated us and helped us save a little more money. After Home Comfort Practice finished all the changes in my house, I decided to start working with them with the purpose of reaching those families in CT who, like me, are unaware of the program so that they have the opportunity to prepare their homes to winter times while saving energy and money.
