About Hampton, Connecticut
The Hampton Green Energy Committee was established in 2010. The Committee has helped conduct energy audits for all municipal buildings followed by significant energy savings in these facilities. The Committee obtained solar PV systems for our Town Hall Fire Station and a 129 kW PV system and a solar thermal system on Hampton Elementary School. Through the Committee's outreach efforts such as Energy Fairs Solarize and HES campaigns the committee has helped residents improve the energy efficiency of their homes and businesses. The committee wrote and distributed a recycling guide to all residents to help reduce costs and energy use.
